The Make A Smile
Golf society was formed to help raise funds to finance Billy Wiz's
future tours to Belarusian orphanages and hospitals.
The first ever
Make A Smile Golf Day was held on 12th March 2008 at Elfordleigh
Golf And Country Club. 26 keen golfers from all over the
South West braved the winds with perfect sunshine.

After the success of this first golf day, Clive and Graeme decided
it would be great to organise two golf days every year one in March,
the other in October or November.
Only the March golf day will be a fundraiser, the November Golf Day
is just another chance for us all to get together for a great day on
the course.
Billy Wiz
the magician visited Belarus for the first time on the 20th
anniversary of Chernobyl. During his visit, he toured hospitals,
orphanages and schools performing magic shows and making amazing
balloon models for the children.
With his
amazing magic and balloon creations he soon realised he could bring
so much happiness to so many children, even for a short time, thus
giving them the chance to forget about their illnesses.
Billy has
returned to Belarus many times including a 28 day tour during
May 2008, performing 37 shows in orphanages, schools and
hospitals.
Our
next golf competition will be
held on Tuesday 23rd March 2010 at Trethorne
Golf Club.
We’re looking for businesses to sponsor a hole for
upcoming charity
fundraising golf day at Trethorne.
A minimum donation of £50 is required to sponsor the hole of your
choice, subject to availability.
Your sponsorship will include an advert on the Tee of the hole of
your choice, and a 12 month advert with web link to your website on
the Make A Smile website.

many children’s faces.
