From the 1st
January 2009 to 1st January 2010, Sheila from
the Ploughboy Inn, Saltash, offered the Plymouth
link of Chernobyl Children's Lifeline the
opportunity to use the pub as a base to raise
funds for the whole year.
With many various
fund raising events including race nights,
barbeques, auctions, raffles as well as a base
for the New Years Day Dip at Cawsands, we were
able to raise our years target of £2100, enough
to bring six children to Plymouth for
recuperation.
The Plymouth
Sunflowers Link would like to express our
sincere thanks to Sheila & Robbie, all the staff
and of course all the regulars of the Ploughboy
who have been digging deep into their pockets on
a regular basis for us. |
